Who We Are
Precious Moments International Academy (PMIA) is a day Nursery and Primary school located at #4 Mountain of fire road, off Rumuola link road, Port-Harcourt, Rivers state which holds academic excellence and good morals to a very high esteem and drive our learners to aspire for and to achieve these. Over the years, our learners have made very high scores in secondary school entrance examinations and have continued to prove the quality education provided for them here at PMIA.
Established in September 2015 by an experienced and qualified educationist, the school now has a growing population of vibrant, inter-ethnic and motivated pupils inspired to enjoy learning through a series of educative activities aimed at providing precious moments to treasure, while enhancing your child’s emotional, social, moral and mental development to achieve full academic potential and virtue.
Here at PMIA, we have carefully selected, well-trained and experienced teachers who are exceptional in transferring knowledge and importantly, in moulding your child, mentally and emotionally. Our teachers are qualified and undergo series of training from time to time to ensure they keep up with up-to-date best methods of handling your kids whom you have entrusted into our meticulous care, so as to get the best out of them.
At Precious Moments International Academy we run a British/Nigerian curriculum, which prepares our children for secondary and tertiary education not just in Nigeria but abroad too. In addition to that, it affords us the opportunity to better achieve academic excellence with our children and prepare them for life as we rely on a more practical oriented guide in our teaching.

I am a passionate early years teacher and a good handwriting advocate.
Over time I’ve successfully worked hard to get better at what I do. I love exploring new methods in addition to the ones in my arsenal to deliver value to the most extent possible. I am focused and resilient, and this has led to an increase in my unceasing passion to continue to be of impact to my kids in the best way possible as I enjoy my career in this noble profession.
One area I’ve enjoyed working on and have come to possess great skill is the pertinent area of class control and participation encouragement. Both put together have helped me to be able to properly manage a class and carry all along – both the outspoken and the reserved ones.

I am a passionate teacher with a special interest in languages and with over five years of teaching experience in nursery, primary and secondary sections of education. I have a diploma in software engineering and am undergoing an English language course with the Open University, Milton Keynes, UK and an Igbo linguistics course with the National Open University of Nigeria.
My long-bred and sustained tremendous passion for teaching has moved me to continue to work increasingly hard to continually find new and better ways to get my kids to understand whatever topics or concepts I need them to – even when they are difficult or perhaps thought to be above their level. Over the years, I have found ways to present complex thoughts in appealing easy-to-understand ways, with my kids getting the true sense and practical application of what they may learn.
I have also found ways to carry along all in my class – including slow learners and special children. My experience in working with IEPs has added to my repertoire of skills for not just coping with special children but indeed, making the best of them.
Although success is achieved by having a high percentage of the class understand and be able to apply the lesson, I have as my aim to have everyone in my class do so.
Working as a teacher has been a challenging, enjoyable and rewarding adventure. Seeing the faces of my kids light up as a result of learning things from a new perspective or understanding difficult intriguing concepts is a priceless reward I ever look forward to.
